  • Well, this weekend was more than I expected.  This weekend was finally the breakthrough that our little group of Japanese seekers needed.  We asked a network of house churches in Osaka led by Chad H. if we could be a part of their group; when we did this we had no idea the help we would get.  We thought that we would be getting a link to a web site and a connection to another body of believers; instead, we got a spiritual boost out-of-this-worldly.  Chad and Keiji prayed with, for, over and on behalf of our attenders.  It was roof shattering.  The things that were holding them back from completely getting past past hurts and wounds, even all the way back to childhood, are coming down.  It was more than I expected and more than I could have hoped.  Now, to do some serious damage in the spiritual realm...look out Satan, you're about to get your butt kicked.

  • on a lighter note

We are pleased at the way things are falling into place for our summer home service.  The calendar is packed and I cannot imagine squeezing in one more appointment but I would if you asked nicely.  We have been told to raise $2,500/month more in support this summer at our field coordinators request.  We are aiming for this because we are running short about this amount each month.  We also have loss some of our prayer base and would like to get more and more of you to face Satan head on in the fight for Japan.  This battle we fight here is not a physical one but one that is taking place in the spiritual realm.  If you would love to share in our ministry here by supporting us through prayer and possible support, please send me an email or comment on my facebook or here on the xanga site.  We we are scheduled to speak at three new churches but could use more.  Some of you may be at churches that said they would consider adding us 'later',  the later is now.  Lets work together to keep workers in the harvest field of Japan...now is a great time to be here with the economy collapsing all around us...people are ready for a god other than money...desperation is everywhere....hearts are ready...will you help lead them to Jesus?

  • in a pickle

The U.S. has gotten itself in quite a pickle.   The pickle I'm speaking of is gay marriage.   Why, for the last 200 years of U.S history, has gay marriage never been an issue?  Now, for some reason, gay marriage is okay?  Even though the American people in many states have voted, some more than once, and agree that marriage should be kept between a man and a woman.  One of the best suggestions for keeping marriage between a man and a woman that I've heard is asking this question; if marriage is acceptable between same sex people, then where does the definition of marriage end?  Can a woman and a horse be wed?  Can an old man and an eight year old girl be wed?  Of course we would say 'no way' to these suggestions!!  BUT, we were saying 'no way' to the idea of two same sex people getting married just 10 years ago.  What has changed?  The people we have in office now is what has gotten us into this pickle, beginning with the president.  There is a hate crimes bill that is about to pass the senate, and has already passed the house.  When it passes, and it will pass, it will silence preachers, Christians and supporters of traditional family values, all across America.  Mark my words, the freedom of speech that our country so freely enjoys, is coming to an end.  If you don't believe me, give it a good 10 years.  If this blog is still around, you will call me a prophetess.  So, I'm writing this while I still can,  for my children and their children.

  • Angels & Demons

Phil and I had a much needed date night tonight.  We left Kayla in charge, hoping for the best out of the children.  We made it to the mall and found the much anticipated Mexican restaurant...I don't think I could ever get tired of eating Mexican...yummy.  There it was, in the midst of noodles, sushi and Korean...the oasis.  This was no Taco Bell, the tortillas are homemade and everything tasted delicious..and fresh and healthy.  We were surprised that it was a good as it was.  For my dinner I got a small coke, smallllll nachoes, and a chicken taco.  It was out of this world, all of it.  The whole set cost $8.30, well worth it. We even splurged and got extra guacamole, something that is hard to find in this land of fish and rice.  Really, it was great food.  Afterwards, we ran to the third floor to catch the movie Angels and Demons. I had read the reviews and felt that the movie in no way was blaspheming Christ or His Church.  The Catholics in the world may not agree with me, but I'm not Catholic in the sense of being A Catholic by denomination.  The movie was slow in parts, a good story and plot line, predictable in many ways, and a great eye-opener for me.  I haven't cared/had much exposure to the Catholic way of doing things.  I found that man has taken God's perfect plan for His Church and mucked it up with rules, regulations and people who are give more power than The Word allows.  Personally, I would wait for the dvd and rent it...not worth spending heaps of money on.  But for us, it was this or 17 Again, the only two English movies showing.  This will be a last date night for a long while...it was wonderful and refreshing...to sit and talk uninterrupted over sour cream, cheese and tortillas.

  • The college kids from Nebraska arrived safe and sound today.  They did say that they had an hour and half wait on the airplane before they would let them off.  Each person was checked for a temperature...kinda scary....  We greeted them with dinner (bar b que pork sandwiches, fruit salad, regular salad, chocolate chip cookies, and drinks..makin' ya hungry??)  It is sooo much hotter here today, not to mention humid.  Early May is too soon for it to be this hot and humid...I'm glad we will be enjoying central a/c in Florida...which Japan does not have in the homes.  Other than our four visitors, three who are staying the night in Kayla's room, we've had a pretty normal day..
